Anime Symphony Kameralnie

Anime Symphony Kameralnie is a unique event that combines two worlds: the thrilling music known from Japanese animation and the elegance of a classical concert in a chamber setting. This concert is perfect not only for all anime fans, but also for those who seek more than just sound in music – true emotion, touch, and memories.

With the chamber orchestra, each instrument becomes more distinct, each note more intimate. Distance disappears, and the audience, thanks to the proximity of the stage, can fully immerse themselves in the musical narrative. This is not just a concert: it is an encounter with their favorite characters, their world, friendship, and dreams.

Musicians

During the concert, exceptional musicians will appear on stage, combining various musical worlds - from classical, through jazz, to contemporary sounds and film music. The chamber ensemble allows for an intimate connection with sound while also providing space for artistic expression and improvisation. The heart of the concert will be the string ensemble, whose delicacy and precision provide the perfect foundation for emotional arrangements of pieces from Japanese animation. The orchestra's sound will be enhanced by piano and guitar, as well as a unique instrument rarely found in Poland: the Japanese koto. This ensemble creates an extraordinary palette of sounds, perfectly capturing the spirit of anime music.

Krzysztof Ratajski, a pianist, composer, and arranger with a versatile background, combining classical training with a passion for jazz, improvisation, and contemporary music, will play the piano for you. He is responsible for the arrangements of the pieces for Anime Symphony! He composes and arranges not only concert music but also creates music for film, theater, and computer games. He is associated with the Heroes Orchestra, as well as vocal ensembles, where he not only arranges but also performs as a vocalist and instrumentalist. His compositions have been performed in Poland, Spain, Mexico, Belgium, and Luxembourg, among other places.

The Anime Symphony Kameralnie guitarist will be Krzysztof Kowalewski – a versatile guitarist, composer, and arranger with experience both on stage and in recording studios. He is also a session musician and a lecturer in jazz workshops. He has performed at prestigious festivals in Poland and abroad – from Sopot, Mrągowo, and Wrocław to Berlin and Toronto. He has collaborated with artists such as Krzysztof Ścierański, Elżbieta Adamiak, Marek Bałata, and Andrzej Poniedzielski, and his presence on stage always brings a fresh and deep sound. He performed in all editions of the Independence Concert from 2009 to 2012, where he was also responsible for some of the arrangements.

Katarzyna Karpowicz and the subtle sounds of the koto will once again be heard on stage. This is a true gem for fans of Japanese culture! Katarzyna Karpowicz performs pieces from two schools (Ikuta-ryū and Yamada-ryū), both classical and contemporary pieces, as well as improvisations. Her artistic activity extends beyond concerts: she also creates music for theater performances and collaborates with butoh dancers, jazz artists, and classical musicians. Her performances are an encounter with the spirituality and depth of Japanese culture!

The orchestra will be led by Tadeusz Wicherek: an outstanding conductor, composer, and teacher associated with the National Opera, the Jelenia Góra Philharmonic, and the Karol Namysłowski Symphony Orchestra in Zamość, among others. His concert career encompasses performances in Europe, Asia, North and Central America. He has conducted operas, musicals, symphony and chamber orchestras, and recorded film and theater music. His concerts always evoke one common characteristic: unforgettable emotions. He is an artist with exceptional musical sensitivity, capable of bringing out the best in an orchestra - regardless of genre!

Singers

Anime Symphony is a chance to hear iconic songs performed by talented musicians and singers. Solo performances will highlight the individual characteristics of each beautiful melody. The artists we invited spent years honing their vocal skills: they are associated not only with music, but also with manga, anime and Japanese culture. We are extremely pleased with their support and we are delighted to be able to promote Polish vocalists during the concert.
